I have about 20 stocks on my watchlist and I'm tired of basic price alerts from my brokerage. I want alerts for things like "TSLA drops 5% in a single day on high volume" or "MSFT RSI crosses below 30." Can Adaptive do this?

Absolutely. I'll connect to market data APIs and set up your watchlist with multi-condition alerts. You can combine price targets, percentage moves, volume thresholds, and technical indicators into compound triggers. Each alert includes full context.

Smart Alert System Active

Monitoring 20 tickers with custom conditions

When an alert fires, I want to know the current price, the percentage move, today's volume vs. average, and where RSI and MACD stand. Send it to my email.

Done. Each alert email will include: current price, day change ($ and %), volume vs. 20-day average, RSI reading, MACD position, and nearest support/resistance levels. I'll also note if any other indicators are flashing signals on the same stock.

Context-Rich Alerts Configured

Email delivery with price, volume, RSI, MACD context

Can I also get a daily digest of all the alerts that fired, so I can review signal quality over time?

Yes. At market close each day, you'll get a summary email listing every alert that fired, with the context that was included in each one. Over time this builds a searchable history so you can see which alert conditions tend to produce actionable signals vs. false positives.

How to set up intelligent stock alerts in Adaptive

1

Add your watchlist tickers

Enter the stocks and ETFs you want to monitor. You can organize them into groups and set different alert conditions for each group.

2

Define your alert conditions

Set conditions in plain English: "AAPL drops more than 3% in a day," "NVDA volume exceeds 2x its 20-day average," or "any stock in my tech group has RSI below 30 and MACD crossing down."

3

Configure notification format and delivery

Choose what context to include in each alert (price, volume, indicators, support/resistance) and set up email delivery. Add the end-of-day digest if you want a daily summary.

4

Review and tune your conditions

As alerts fire, review the daily digest to assess signal quality. Tighten noisy conditions and loosen ones that never trigger. Adaptive helps you optimize by showing which alerts lead to meaningful moves.

What makes Adaptive's stock alerts smarter

Multi-condition compound alerts

Combine price, percentage move, volume, and technical indicator conditions into a single trigger. "Alert me when TSLA drops 5%+ on 3x average volume with RSI below 25."

Context-rich notifications

Every alert includes the data you need to act: current price, move size, volume analysis, key indicator readings, and nearest support/resistance. No more opening your charting tool to figure out what happened.

Daily alert digest

An end-of-day email summarizing every alert that fired, with full context for each one. Review the day's signals in 2 minutes instead of scrolling through individual notifications.

Alert history and signal tracking

Every alert is logged with the market conditions when it fired. Over time, review which conditions produced profitable signals and which were false alarms.

Plain-English alert management

Add, modify, or remove alert conditions by describing what you want in natural language. No dropdown menus, no settings panels — just tell Adaptive what to watch for.

Watchlist-wide scanning

Conditions can apply to individual stocks or entire watchlist groups. "Alert me if any of my biotech stocks gaps up more than 10% at open."

Frequently asked questions

Common questions about real-time stock quotes and alerts.

Alert speed depends on the data feed. With real-time market data APIs, alerts fire within seconds of the condition being met. With delayed feeds (typically 15 minutes), alerts reflect the delayed data. Delivery via email takes an additional few seconds.

The core alert system is designed for stocks and ETFs. If your connected data API provides options or futures data, you can set price-based alerts on those instruments too, though technical indicator support is optimized for equity data.

There's no hard limit on the number of alert conditions. Most users run 30–50 active conditions across a 15–25 stock watchlist without any performance issues.

You control the cooldown. By default, an alert fires once and then waits for the condition to reset before it can fire again. You can set a time-based cooldown (e.g., once per day) or require the condition to fully reset (e.g., RSI must go back above 40 before the "RSI below 30" alert can fire again).

Email is the primary notification channel. You can route alerts to any email address, including email-to-SMS gateways provided by your phone carrier. Direct Telegram integration is on the roadmap.

Yes. Alert emails can be sent to multiple recipients. You can set up shared watchlists where multiple people receive the same alerts with the same context.
